What are open ended questions ?

Open-Ended Questions are those questions that cannot be answered with a finite answer such as “yes” or “no”. For example: “How did you get to work this morning?” is an open-ended question, whereas “Did you have a good weekend?” is not.

In the sales process, open-ended questions are used to solicit fulsome answers from potential customers, which in turn help the salesperson to define the exact nature of the customer’s need.
