He is a problem in the sales industry, because for most people, he is what they think sales is all about. However, in the 21st Century he is a anachronism, out of place and ill suited to the modern way of selling. At Vendatum we reject The Guru, because The Guru promotes a system, and a rigid way of selling that is scripted, robotic, and overbearing. In contrast, we believe in coaching our partners in a more conversational style of selling that is intelligent, reassuring and flexible …and hopefully one that’s more effective too !
